MELBOURNE’S Sinead Goldrick and Georgia Gall are both set to play their first game of the 2025 AFLW season, named in the club’s final team for Round 2.
After missing the opening game due to an ankle injury sustained in pre-season, Gall has proven her strength on the training track and will add plenty to Melbourne’s forward line.
Goldrick will bring exciting speed into the Dees’ backline, entering the team after a slow transition back into AFLW, following her return to Australia from Ireland two weeks ago.
Alyssia Pisano and Lily Johnson have been omitted from the side but will join Ryleigh Wotherspoon on the Saturday emergency list.
The Saturday match will see Melbourne head to its south-east home of Casey Fields for the first time this season, with an epic day of footy and family-friendly fun.
Fans who attend the Round 2 game will be treated to an elite game of AFLW between the Dees and the Saints, along with meat raffles, giveaways and a $10,000 helicopter ball drop.
By half time, all adults in stadium will receive an entry ticket into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop with more information on the giveaway found here.
