FIVE Demons have earned selection in the 2026 AFLW All-Australian squad, with Jordyn Allen and Tahlia Gillard receiving their first squad nominations.

Maeve Chaplin, Tyla Hanks and Olivia Purcell also feature, following their previous All-Australian honours.

In only her first season, Allen has been rewarded for an impressive campaign across Melbourne’s defence. In 12 matches, she has averaged 18.8 disposals at 68.6 per cent efficiency, alongside 2.0 rebound 50s per game. Her impact has already shown the exciting quality Melbourne has secured.

Gillard also earns her first All-Australian squad nomination since being named in the extended squad in 2023. The key defender has averaged 4.8 spoils and 5.6 rebound 50s across 12 matches, while also recording 2.1 intercept marks per game.

Chaplin has continued her rise after earning All-Australian selection in 2025. Across 10 matches this season, she is averaging 20 disposals at 74.5 per cent efficiency, as well as 3.9 marks and 1.8 rebound 50s.

A standout season from Hanks sees her return to the squad after being named in the 2025 All-Australian team. The midfielder has averaged 26.2 disposals, 11.2 contested possessions and 7.7 tackles across her 12 matches, while contributing 5.4 score involvements per game.

Purcell rounds out Melbourne’s nominees after previously earning All-Australian selection in 2020 and 2022. After missing a significant amount of football in recent years, she has been prolific in 2026, averaging 30.6 disposals and 13.1 contested possessions across 11 matches, alongside 4.2 clearances and 5.5 score involvements per game.

The 2026 AFLW All-Australian team will be named at the W Awards on November 23.
