A HELICOPTER at Casey Fields?
Yes, you read that right. This season, the Demons are taking AFLW to the next level, both on and off the field.
Melbourne is hosting its first AFLW home game of the season during Round 2, heading back to Casey Fields for an epic day of footy and family-friendly fun.
Set for Saturday 23 August, supporters will be treated to an exciting game of footy between the Dees and the Saints, along with meat raffles and giveaways.
And did we mention there’s going to be a helicopter? By half time, all adults in stadium will receive an entry ticket into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop.

Inspired by Mansfield Football Club’s annual Easter ball drop event, a helicopter will fly over Casey Fields immediately after the final siren, dropping thousands of numbered balls on to the ground. The ball that lands closest to the pin will be deemed the winner, with the holder of the corresponding entry ticket to take home $10,000. We told you it was epic.
It’s going to be a day to remember in Round 2, so bring your family, bring your friends, spread the word and help us make more history. Let’s lock out Casey Fields with a new attendance record and show our support for our AFLW team.
Adult tickets can be purchased for just $15, with FREE tickets available for all fans under the age of 18.
Dees supporters wanting to add to the history making can purchase a Melbourne membership and help the club break an AFLW membership record.
