AFTER just one inclusion to its side for last weekend’s clash with Hawthorn, Melbourne may again opt for minimal change in Round 8.

With two consecutive wins on the board for the first time since last season, Simon Goodwin looks to have found a promising selection mix, but he certainly has options to change things up.

Take a look at four potential additions for Sunday’s clash with Brisbane at Metricon Stadium.

Tom McDonald

After missing Round 7 with a scratched eye, McDonald is hopeful of a return to the Demons’ forward line this weekend.

The 27-year-old is close to a full recovery, but will need to prove his fitness at training on Thursday, in order to put his hand up for selection.

If he’s fit, McDonald will have his sights set on youngster Luke Jackson’s spot, who returned for just his second AFL game last week.

Jackson impressed in the air and in tandem with fellow tall Sam Weideman, so would be unlucky to miss, but Goodwin will need to decide who can have the bigger impact against the Lions.

Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones continues to showcase his talent in the Demons’ scratch matches and on the training track.

The former skipper’s experience is his biggest strength, which remains consistent, regardless of who he’s playing with or against.

Having not lined up for a senior game since Round 2, Jones will be pushing for another chance this weekend.

Adam Tomlinson

After being omitted for Round 6, Adam Tomlinson wasn’t able to regain his spot last weekend to face Hawthorn.

The new recruit is more than capable of competing at the required level, and his recent training efforts will certainly put him in the mix this week.

The only question is who makes way for him.

Alex Neal-Bullen

Alex Neal-Bullen has featured just twice for the Demons this season, having not played since Round 2.

His ability to put the pressure on may be of interest to the coaches, particularly if the Dees want to build on their forward half attack against a formidable opponent in Brisbane.

His speed around the ground will also see his name discussed at the selection table.
