THE NEXT phase of the 2020 AFL season has just been made a little clearer, with a three-week fixture revealed on Tuesday evening.

After this weekend’s clash with Brisbane, the Demons will be gearing up for four matches in three weeks, as the AFL looks to cram games in due to COVID-19.

In Round 9, Melbourne will face off with the Power, before meeting Adelaide, North Melbourne and Collingwood in what will be the mid stages of this rollercoaster 17-game season.

The new-look schedule will see Melbourne play on the back of a four-day break in the first week of August, as well as travelling interstate to Adelaide and Hobart.

A replacement date for the Dees-Dons match-up - which was initially postponed in Round 3 - is still yet to be confirmed.
