Pearce to return, Parry to debut

Lauren Pearce will make her season debut, coming into the side for Maddy Guerin who suffered an ACL injury last week.

Pearce will return to the ruck after a knee concern of her own, which forced her to undergo minor surgery earlier this year.

Jackie Parry will get her chance to pull on the red and blue for the very first time after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Dees’ top draft pick, who replaces Shelley Heath (illness), will be eager to impress in her first senior outing.

Oppo watch

Melbourne will go up against the old enemy in Collingwood on Friday night.

The Pies have recorded two wins from their opening games of the season, going down to Fremantle by just three points last week.

Midfielder Jamie Lambert continues to impress in the midfield and will be a focus for the Dees.

What it means

With both sides sitting on two victories in Conference B, a Round 4 win would be a big boost for the Demons’ ladder position.

Melbourne currently sits fourth following last week’s disappointing loss to St Kilda, while the Pies’ percentage has them in second position.
