MELBOURNE'S pre-season fixture has been locked in with the team set to play in four matches prior to Round 1.
The Dees will play three match simulations against Geelong, Richmond and Essendon. For the official practice match, the team will head to South Australia to face Port Adelaide.

As per afl.com.au, the match simulations will not necessarily be played under "normal" conditions, with the two teams involved to decide just how the game will play out.
The club's official practice match at Alberton Oval will be open to the public and will also be livestreamed on the Melbourne website.
Melbourne will officially kick off its 2026 campaign on Thursday 13 August, facing Hawthorn at IKON Park from 7:15pm.
