SECOND-YEAR Demon Jai Culley is poised for the biggest season of his career after earning his place in the AFL line-up down the stretch in 2025.
Having played between three and five AFL matches in each season of his four-year career, Culley will be hoping to break through for his most substantial campaign to date.
The high-flying forward and midfielder has caught the eye of his new head coach Steven King.
“What he’s been doing this pre-season to my eye – it’s unbelievable,” King said.
“He’s obviously gone away and put a heap of time in on his break, hired a speed coach that’s been doing a lot of work with him.”
While King was hesitant to single out too many player when asked at the club’s Annual General Meeting, the new man in charge did name a few strong performers.
“Caleb Windsor was best on track the other day with what he was doing.
“Bayley Fritsch had a standout session last week. His finishing in front of goal, up the ground a little bit playing on a wing and connecting inside 50 with his field kicking, that was really exciting as well.
“It’s just the work rate of Kade Chandler, Tommy Sparrow… these guys. It’s been unbelievable.”
