INS – May, McVee, Fritsch
OUTS – Turner (concussion), Melksham (managed), Howes (omitted)

MELBOURNE will be bolstered with the return of Steven May, Judd McVee and Bayley Fritsch for tomorrow night’s blockbuster ANZAC Day Eve match against Richmond.

It’s a particularly exciting call-up for McVee who will play his first AFL game of 2025 having been sidelined with a hamstring injury since February.

The 21-year-old featured in Casey’s VFL side last weekend, finishing the day with 19 disposals and six marks - earning an AFL selection for tomorrow night.

May re-enters the team after a short stint on the sidelines due to a minor groin strain. After successfully completing training this week, the stalwart defender will strengthen Melbourne’s backline.

The final addition to the line-up is Fritsch who returns to the Demons’ forward line having played in the VFL’s match against GWS last weekend.

Daniel Turner will miss the game after entering concussion protocols last weekend, while Jake Melksham will also be absent from the final 23, the club opting to manage the forward.

Blake Howes has been omitted from the side but will join Jack Billings and Aidan Johnson on the emergency list.

The ANZAC Day Eve match is a highly anticipated date on the football fixture, with fans flocking to the ‘G to be there for the much-loved pre-game ceremony.
