Oscar McDonald faced a number of challenges during the 2019 season and took some time off at the mid-point of the year to get his body right.
This ‘mini pre-season’ did wonders for the key defender who was able to regain his confidence while out of the AFL spotlight.
McDonald played three games in the back part of the season, including having a run up forward against Collingwood where he booted his first career goal.
The brother of Tom McDonald is still a developing player and will look to cement his spot in the Demons’ defence alongside Steven May and Jake Lever in 2020.
