NEW recruit Ben Brown will meet with a knee specialist on Wednesday after persistent swelling to his left knee.

“Following scans on Monday afternoon, it has been decided that we will get the opinion of knee specialist Julian Feller to determine the best course of action,” General Manager of AFL Football Performance Alan Richardson told Melbourne Media.

“The club will be in a position to provide further information following Ben’s consultation on Wednesday.”

The key forward is completing his first pre-season with the Demons following a trade with North Melbourne at the end of 2020.

The 27-year old’s move to Melbourne came along with pick No.28 and North Melbourne’s Future Fourth Round selection.

In return, the Demons passed on pick No.26, pick No.33 and a Future Fourth Round selection (tied to Brisbane) to the Kangaroos.
