KYSAIAH Pickett has become the second Demon in as many weeks to receive a NAB Rising Star nomination, being recognised for his performance last weekend.

The news was revealed to the small forward in front of the entire playing group on Thursday night, after the AFL decided Pickett was the most influential young talent in the competition in Round 11.

The 19-year-old, who was selected with pick No.12 in last year’s National Draft, was a livewire against North Melbourne with 12 disposals, six score involvements, three inside 50s, 24 pressure acts and one goal.

Both Pickett and Luke Jackson have had a major impact since joining the club and have earned their nominations in consecutive games.

Pickett has now played eight senior matches in his debut season, settling in seamlessly since moving down from South Australia.
