ONE WEEK after earning a Rising Star nomination, Luke Jackson has succumbed to a hamstring injury.

Scans revealed that the promising Dees ruckman did some damage to his tendon at Adelaide Oval, which will sideline him for up to six weeks.

With Jackson unavailable for the clash with Collingwood on Saturday night, Melbourne will be hoping skipper Max Gawn is ready to return.

Gawn missed last weekend’s win over North Melbourne due to knee soreness and will have to pass a fitness test on Friday to earn his selection.

In positive news, Jack Viney (concussion) and Jay Lockhart (corked knee) will both be available after being withdrawn from Round 11 off a four-day break.

Corey Wagner is also going to have a run in a practice match this weekend after recovering quickly from a fractured wrist.

Watch below as performance manager Darren Burgess provides an update on the club’s full injury list.
