The Melbourne Football Club is pleased to confirm Jordie McKenzie has agreed to terms with the Club for the next two years.

Winner of the Club's Coach's Award for 2010, Jordie McKenzie first emerged in 2009 after being selected as the Club's No. 1 pick in that season's rookie draft. In his first year, he played three senior games with Melbourne, as well as twelve senior games for the Casey Scorpions. Originally from Mortlake in eastern Victoria, McKenzie made sufficient impact to be retained on the rookie list in 2010.

A fierce competitor, McKenzie continued to build his career in 2010, playing nineteen games and averaging over six tackles a game, at one stage heading the AFL table for tackles. McKenzie was elevated to Melbourne's senior list in late July, being hailed for his kicking and endurance off half-back and through the midfield.
