MELBOURNE could benefit from the inclusion of Tom McDonald this weekend, as he hopes to make a return from an eye injury.

The 27-year-old suffered a scratched eyeball against the Suns in Round 6, and after sitting out Sunday’s clash with Hawthorn, he is now on the mend.

In order to put his hand up for selection against Brisbane, McDonald will need to prove his fitness at training on Thursday.
