AFTER copping a gruesome poke to the eye against the Suns, Tom McDonald is now on the mend.

The key forward, who suffered the scratch to his right eye in the first quarter of the game, experienced trouble with his vision and went to hospital as a precaution on Saturday night.

While McDonald isn’t currently experiencing any major issues, his condition will be monitored in the lead up to Round 7 and a call will be made on his fitness later in the week.
