Third quarter
The third quarter was another solid effort. David Rodan showed some brilliance with an outstanding goal on the run. Sam Blease provided plenty of run through the middle of the ground contributing with a nice goal on the run. Chris Dawes had a solid quarter providing a target up forward kicking a good goal from 45m out to further increase our margin. The defence was solid down back lead by Colin Garland and James Frawley. The Dees go into the three quarter time break with a xx point lead.

Second quarter
After taking a nine-point advantage into the first break, Melbourne extended its lead to 26 points at half-time. Jack Watts booted two goals for the term to have three by the long change. Jack Fitzpatrick’s checkside beauty from the boundary line and Jeremy Howe’s second hanger for the match were among the second term highlights. The Dogs added just two majors via Daniel Giansiracusa. Half-time score: Melbourne 8.8.56 to Western Bulldogs 4.6.30

First quarter
It was a good first quarter from the Dees. The bulldogs got off to a fast start with the first goal, Melbourne through Jack Watts replied quickly with a goal. The Dees went into half time with a nine-point lead. Dean Terlich had nine touches, Jack Trengove eight touches and James Frawley seven touches.
