CASEY Scorpions have defeated Sandringham by 31 points at Trevor Barker Beach Oval on Saturday.

Casey 19.19 (133) defeated Sandringham 16.6 (102) to continue its outstanding start to the 2016 season.

The Scorpions remain on top of the ladder with five wins from its opening six rounds.

Utility Alex Neal-Bullen continued his excellent VFL season and push for AFL selection with 39 disposals.

Midfielder Ben Netwon backed up his 38-disposal performance against the Northern Blues with another 30 touches.

Experienced trio Lynden Dunn (28 disposals), Dean Terlich (27) and Jack Trengove (26) were again among the leading ball-winners.

Key talls Chris Dawes, Liam Hulett and Sam Weideman booted two goals each.
