MELBOURNE Football Club is excited to announce a new partnership with leading headwear brand, New Era.

In 2020 and beyond, New Era will be the exclusive headwear supplier providing its expert craftsmanship and style to the players training and casual caps.

New Era Australia General Manager, Simon Hibbs, said he’s looking forward to working with the Demons.

"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Melbourne as their official headwear supplier and to share our rich history with the oldest team in the league,” Hibbs told Melbourne Media.

This year, New Era celebrates its 100-year anniversary and Hibbs said it was fitting to celebrate the milestone with a fellow pioneer in their field.

“Melbourne helped write the rules to the game of AFL and has been a big part of the game’s evolution,” he said.

“We’d like to think New Era continuingly breaks new ground when it comes to fashion and functionality in the headwear space.

“New Era’s partnership with the Dees is a perfect fit.”

Melbourne Football Club Chief Commercial Officer, George de Crespigny, believes New Era’s partnership is a fitting extension to their existing retail footprint at Melbourne.

“New Era caps have long been available through the Demon Shop, but with the new partnership, it allows players to sport the latest in headwear style and comfort,” de Crespigny said.

“Our fans will benefit from the partnership with exciting new cap variations available for purchase and a commitment to innovate.”

New Era is the official cap of some of the world’s biggest sporting leagues including MLB, NBA and NFL.
