MELBOURNE have finalised their list changes for the 2020 season, delisting both Jay Kennedy Harris and Billy Stretch.
After spending six seasons in the red and blue, Kennedy Harris will depart the Dees with 39 career matches to his name.

The 24-year-old was drafted to Melbourne from the Kew Comets in the 2013 National Draft.

General Manager of Football Operations, Josh Mahoney, praised Kennedy Harris for his resilience.

“Jay’s time was hampered by injuries at different stages, but he always had a positive attitude to the challenges of being an AFL player.

We are very proud of the person he has become and wish him all the best for his next opportunity” he told Melbourne Media.

A strong performer at VFL level, Kennedy Harris also proudly represented the Indigenous All Stars team in 2015.

Twenty-three-year-old Stretch is also leaving the Dees after spending five years at the Club.

The son of former player, Steven Stretch, Billy was recruited under the father-son-rule in the 2014 AFL Draft.

Stretch went on to make his AFL debut during the 2015 season, kicking his first AFL goal with his very first kick.

A popular teammate, Mahoney paid tribute to Stretch’s commitment to the game.

“Since being drafted, Billy has given everything he had to be the best player he could be. A great teammate, Billy is the ultimate professional and we hope that this is not the end of his AFL career.”

Despite being hampered by an injury interrupted season in 2018, Stretch racked up 47 AFL games in red and blue.
