MELBOURNE has called upon Oscar McDonald and Josh Wagner to strengthen its side against Hawthorn in Round 7, as the Demons look to get back on the winners list on Saturday afternoon.

The pair have been added to the line up to take to the MCG this weekend in place of Jack Viney and Sam Weideman.

Viney has been forced out of the side with a shoulder injury after copping a brutal bump from Sydney Stack in last week’s loss to Richmond, while Weideman has been omitted.

The 21-year-old key forward will have the opportunity to regain some confidence at VFL level as the Casey Demons meet Footscray at Casey Fields on Sunday.

Both McDonald and Wagner have earned their selections on the back of strong performances in the twos, with the defensive duo gathering 23 and 20 disposals respectively last week.

The Dees will be in search for their second win of 2019 on Saturday, with Declan Keilty, Tom Sparrow, Corey Wagner and Weideman on standby for the clash with the Hawks.
