MELBOURNE is set to blood its sixth debutant of 2019, with Kyle Dunkley named to pull on the red and blue on Sunday afternoon.

The newest Demon recruit will be running out against the Blues, alongside 311-gamer Jordan Lewis who has been recalled to the side.

The duo have come into the Melbourne line up after Oskar Baker (omitted) and Tim Smith (calf) were ruled out on Thursday night.

Lewis has earned his selection after a strong run of form for the Casey Demons, racking up 40 disposals against Coburg two weeks ago, before travelling to Brisbane as an emergency last weekend.

Ruckman Max Gawn has been selected for the Round 16 clash despite speculation around his fitness, with the Dees making just two changes for this week’s game.

The club’s vice-captain rolled his ankle against the Lions last Sunday and has recovered well during the week, expecting to face Carlton at the MCG in two days’ time.

Braydon Preuss will be a carry-over emergency for the Demons, while Oscar McDonald, Corey Wagner and Josh Wagner are also on standby for the game.
