MELBOURNE’S Jordyn Allen has been named the Telstra AFLW Rising Star nominee for Round 4 of the 2026 AFLW season.

Allen, in only her fourth AFLW game, recorded a game-high 10 intercept possessions and a career-high 22 disposals in Melbourne’s 37-point victory over the West Coast Eagles in Perth on Sunday.

The speedy 18-year-old has spent most of her time in defence this season, averaging over 20 disposals and three tackles across the Demons first four matches.

The crafty young star joined Melbourne with Pick No. 16 in the 2025 National Draft and put in the work over pre-season to earn her debut in Melbourne’s Round 1 victory over Hawthorn.

Allen was recruited as a defender from the Eastern Rangers in 2025 after earning a Coates Talent League Team of the Year selection, averaging over 18 disposals and five tackles per game.

This nomination becomes Melbourne’s first AFLW Rising Star nominee since Tahlia Gillard in 2022 (S7).
