MELBOURNE has welcomed Jorja Livingstone to its AFLW list as an injury replacement player for the 2026 season.

The left-footed winger joins the Demons from the Western Bulldogs VFLW program, where she has been in excellent form, averaging 30 possessions and one goal across her past three matches.

At 23 years of age, Livingstone earns her first opportunity at AFLW level after a strong VFLW campaign.

Melbourne General Manager of AFLW Katrina Gill said the club was excited to welcome Livingstone to the program.

"Jorja has been in outstanding form for the Western Bulldogs in the VFLW," Gill said.

"She has a strong work rate, covers the ground well and runs smart patterns on the wing, while also having the versatility to play in multiple positions.

"She's composed with ball in hand, makes good decisions and uses her penetrating left-foot kick to great effect.

"Jorja has worked hard to earn this opportunity and is determined to make the most of it. She also brings strong values and will be a great addition to our group, both on and off the field."

Livingstone's signing follows the unfortunate loss of Grace Beasley, who suffered an ACL injury during Melbourne's pre-season match simulation against Richmond.

Livingstone previously represented the Eastern Ranges in the Talent League, where she played alongside current Demons Georgia Campbell, Jacinta Hose, Mia Austin and Alyssia Pisano.

Melbourne's 2026 AFLW campaign begins in just two weeks, with the Demons taking on Hawthorn on Thursday 13 August at IKON Park.
