Sinead Goldrick has been withdrawn from the inaugural Australia v Ireland representative match due to injury
MELBOURNE veteran Sinead Goldrick has been withdrawn from the inaugural Australia v Ireland representative match on Saturday 1 August.
Goldrick recently underwent surgery after sustaining a knee injury during pre-season. Despite progressing well through her rehabilitation, she has not been medically cleared to return to play.
Melbourne's priority remains the health and wellbeing of its players, with the club focused on ensuring Goldrick is fully prepared for the upcoming AFLW season.
The Casey Demons have lost to the Geelong Cats by 53 points.
