Earlier this week it was confirmed that Kentfield would be featuring in the King’s Birthday battle, set to make his AFL debut in the special occasion.

Kentfield earned the call up to senior football after a steady build of form in the VFL over the past two season. As a tall forward, he’ll look to bolster Melbourne’s impact inside 50.

Lever returns to the team after missing Round 12 due to concussion protocols. He’ll join McDonald in re-entering the backline, McDonald selected following a string of solid displays in the VFL.

Monday’s match is expected to be one of the biggest on the football calendar as the Dees and Magpies come together to celebrate Big Freeze 12 and the powerful impact of the late Neale Daniher.

Prior to the blockbuster match, the Zurich Walk to the ‘G will kick off the Big Freeze festivities, the Federation Square event opening from 10am in support of FightMND.

Supporters will then head to the MCG where the famous Big Freeze slide will take place from 2pm.

Fans who weren’t able to get a ticket to the match are encouraged to show their support with a digital Big Freeze beanie, which can be purchased here.
