MELBOURNE is set to unleash tall forward Luker Kentfield, who will make his AFL debut on Monday.

Kentfield has earned the call up to Melbourne’s AFL forward line having proved his talents in the VFL this season, kicking 20 goals from his eight games.

His 20 goals put him at equal fourth in the overall VFL leaderboard, while also averaging five marks a match.

Kentfield first joined the Dees in May of 2024, arriving via the Mid-Season Rookie Draft as an 194cm key forward from Subiaco.

Since 2024, Kentfield has been building his game at VFL level, kicking 24 goals from 17 games last season.

He was poised for an early debut after standout pre-season, but a knee injury sustained in Melbourne’s practice match put a pause to his form on the training track.

The remainder of the Dees’ King’s Birthday side will be confirmed on Sunday night.
