Icons of Melbourne will join forces to celebrate another Melbourne great this week, as the MCG, Inglewood Coffee and the city’s oldest pub help to celebrate Max Gawn’s 250th game.

The MCG has created the ‘Big Max’, with the stadium’s two cafes, Paddock and Trumble, both offering the dish - which features a 250g beef patty, shredded iceberg lettuce, onions, dill pickles, American cheese, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun and served with chips - from Monday to Sunday this week.

The Pass, the app which provides Demons members with a 15% discount at The Duke of Wellington and 10% off at more than 200 other pubs and bars around the country is offering Melbourne members 250 bonus points on their The Pass accounts if they spend in any of their venues across the country on Sunday.

With The Duke, Melbourne’s oldest pub and the newly minted ‘home pub of the Demons’, just a short walk to the ‘G, Demon members are encouraged to drop by The Duke before heading to the game on Sunday.

Also synonymous with Melbourne is the city’s reputation for quality coffee and so Inglewood Coffee will also join the party, putting the Max Special on its menu this Saturday from 9am-Midday at Inglewood Aces. Fans can pick up their FREE bearded brew at Inglewood HQ – the Espresso Bar at 23 Lionel Road, Mount Waverley, and also go into the running to win a Demons Gather Round guernsey.

Given the club’s home game in Alice Springs in Round 12, this Sunday’s clash against Carlton at the MCG is a replacement home game for Demons members. Premium Members (Redlegs, Trident and Legends) will be able to redeem a $0 ticket into a Melbourne Member Bay on Level 1 (subject to availability), while all other eligible access members can scan into the game and sit in general admission.
