MELBOURNE has opted to run with the same line-up in Round 2 that saw it take out a season-opening win against St Kilda last Sunday.

The Dees will face the Dockers on Saturday night at Optus Stadium as they look to keep their winning start alive in 2026.

Senior coach Steven King has backed in the same final 23 as Round 1, telling media on Thursday morning that he was excited by the trip west.

“Really good teams win on the road and that’s our challenge this week,” King said.

“I see opportunity in the game…starting well on the road is really important, so we’ll look to do that.”

Fremantle is coming off a 10-point loss to Geelong and will no doubt be looking for redemption on its home deck, setting the scene for an exciting battle in Perth.

Bailey Laurie, Tom McDonald and Max Heath have been named on the emergency list.
