CASEY captain and much-loved Demon Ally Kirkwood has called time on her VFLW career after 77 games in the red and blue.  

Kirkwood joined the Dees in 2019 after an impressive 2018 season playing for Old Geelong in the VAFA. She entered the football world as a cross-coder, having grown up playing netball and tennis.  

Following her move to the Dees, Kirkwood quickly became a valued figure of the football club, taking up a leadership position in 2022 as vice captain.  

She was then promoted to captain in 2024 and continued to lead the team in 2025, always considered a ‘heart and soul’ player among the club.
