OLI Platt has been selected to lead Casey Demon’s VFLW team for the 2026 season.

Platt currently holds the role of Senior Coach for MCC Women’s team, having previously been an Assistant Coach at the club for two seasons.

He succeeds current Senior Coach, Matt Brewer, who is still heavily involved in the club’s AFLW program as a line coach.

He has also honed his skills as a Development Coach at Casey Demons in 2025, familiarising himself with the players and program.

Clare Pettyfor, GM of AFLW, spoke positively about the 26-year-old’s credentials and ability to take the reins for Casey.

“Oli is passionate about the development of people and players and is incredibly excited to take on this new challenge and continue to grow and develop as a coach, alongside our VFLW players and program,” Pettyfor said.

“Through the process to appoint Oli, it became apparent that was the perfect candidate to bring this ethos to life and help set a new standard and take our program to the next level.”

The opening round 2026 rebel VFLW season will be played the weekend of May 16-17.
