THE DEES have finalised their jumper numbers for the 2026 AFL season.

Melbourne’s newest recruits have officially received their guernsey numbers ahead of the upcoming campaign, with a blend of draftees, rookies and established players set to don new digits.

Harvey Langford (No.4, formerly No.19), Xavier Lindsay (No.5, formerly No.20), Jack Steele (No.9), Jai Culley (No.13, formerly No.46) and Latrelle Pickett (No.33) take on guernseys with strong historical ties, continuing the story of some of the club’s most recognised numbers.

Langford inherits the guernsey synonymous with footballing immortal Norm Smith, while Lindsay takes on the No.5 worn by David Schwarz and 2021 premiership star Christian Petracca. Steele will carry the legacy of David Neitz and the late Brian Dixon in No.9, Culley joins the line of Adam Yze and 2021 premiership midfielder Clayton Oliver in No.13, and Latrelle Pickett steps into the No.33 - the number made famous by electric Demon legend Jeff Farmer.

Among the other fresh numbers, Changkuoth Jiath (No.14), Max Heath (No.27), Brody Mihocek (No.28) and Oscar Berry (No.38) lock in their guernseys, with Heath picking up the number long tied to former defender - and now defensive coach - Jared Rivers.

New draftees Xavier Taylor (No.19), Thomas Matthews (No.20) and Riley Onley (No.40) have all received their first Melbourne jumpers as they embark on their opening seasons in red and blue.

Adding an extra layer of significance to the group is Kalani White, who will wear No.34 - the same number his dad, club great Jeff White, made iconic.

The remainder of the list will carry their 2025 numbers into the new season.
