MELBOURNE will be without forward Eden Zanker this week as she moves through concussion protocols following Sunday’s game.

The club’s AFLW High Performance Manager Josh Keily provided an update on the Demon on Tuesday.

“Eden has entered concussion protocols following an incident in Sunday’s game,” Keily said.

“She was in and around the club yesterday, which was a positive sign for her.

"While she won’t be available for this week’s final, we’ll continue to progress her through the protocols as symptoms allow.”

It was confirmed last Friday that Maeve Chaplin had sustained a hamstring injury, with the defender in doubt to make a return this weekend.

“It’s highly unlikely that Maeve will feature in Saturday’s semi-final,” Keily said.

“Maeve is giving herself every shot to get through her rehab in a timely fashion.”

After suffering an eye injury during Round 10, Sinead Goldrick will face a final fitness to return to the selection mix this week.

“Sinead is tracking well after returning to football skills last week,” Keily said.

“She’ll return to the main group for full training in the lead up to the game and will need to successfully complete the week of sessions to be available for Saturday.”

Following the game, Blaithin Mackin presented with ankle soreness but will be available for selection this weekend.

Olivia Purcell (ACL) and Jacinta Hose (back) continue to work through their long-term rehab programs.
