JACK Henderson has put pen to paper on a new deal, signing on with Melbourne for the 2026 AFL season.

The 25-year-old, who first joined the Demons via the pre-season supplemental selection period in February, played five senior games in the red and blue this year, having made his debut in Round 1.

Henderson also featured 10 times for Casey in the VFL, where he added to his tally of 78 matches – he played for Werribee before getting his opportunity with Melbourne.

AFL List Manager Tim Lamb praised Henderson’s efforts in his first season at the club.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer Jack another contract, and extend his time in the red and blue,” Lamb said.

“We’ve been really impressed by Jack since he walked through our doors earlier this year. He’s a competitor, with a great attitude and energy, and we’re looking forward to his continued development into 2026.”

Henderson joins Tom Campbell, Tom McDonald and Jake Melksham in recently signing one-year deals with the club.
