INS - Spargo, Howes, Petty, Sparrow
OUT - May (concussion), Tholstrup, Jefferson, Sharp (omitted)
A DEMON duo has returned from concussion in time to take on the Saints as Melbourne has swung four changes for Sunday’s Marvel Stadium clash.
Tom Sparrow and Harrison Petty are back from their respective head knocks alongside the recalled Charlie Spargo and Blake Howes.
Steven May (concussion) and the omitted trio of Koltyn Tholstrup, Harry Sharp and Matthew Jefferson all make way for the incoming Demons.
Blake Howes returns on the back of some red-hot VFL form, with the rangy defender having taken 21 marks across his past two Casey Demons outings.
It will be Howes’ eighth game for the 2025 campaign, after an impressive 16 matches in 2024 following his Opening Round debut last year.
Coach Simon Goodwin was effusive in his praise of the 22-year-old in this morning’s media conference.
"Blake Howes has been playing some outstanding footy in the VFL,” Goodwin said
“He's been crying out for an opportunity and he's ready to play some really strong AFL footy.”
Charlie Spargo will run out with the AFL side after playing his last three matches at VFL level and showing off some strong tackling and ball-winning.
Spargo is in the process of finding his best form again after missing almost the entirety of 2024 with an Achilles injury.
The first bounce is at 3:15pm this Sunday at Marvel Stadium, with both sides searching for a win and sitting 15th and 13th on the table.
