MELBOURNE’S Steven May has been handed a three-match suspension for Rough Conduct at the AFL Tribunal on Wednesday night.

The decision comes after the Match Review Officer assessed the incident as careless conduct, high contact and severe impact.

The incident between May and Carlton’s Francis Evans occurred in the third term of the Demons’ Round 19 match.

As a result of the ruling, May will be unavailable for selection in Melbourne’s upcoming three matches against St Kilda, West Coast and the Western Bulldogs.
