MELBOURNE’s Christian Petracca has earned maximum votes for his dominant MCG performance that powered the Demons to a 36-point victory over the Kangaroos.

Petracca collected a match-high 31 disposals – the third time this season he has broken the 30-disposal mark.

It was a vintage performance for the powerful midfielder, who complimented his ball-winning with five inside 50s and seven clearances.

Veteran Jake Melksham continues his late-career purple patch, becoming the first Demon since David Neitz to kick four or more goals in three consecutive matches.

The 33-year-old earned six votes for his five goals, on the back of bags of five goals against the Gold Coast and four against Adelaide.

Max Gawn earned five votes of his own for a performance which did zero harm to his chances of an eighth All Australian blazer.

Matched up with the Kangaroos’ Tristan Xerri, Gawn won the disposals, hit-outs and hit-outs to advantage categories, clearances, score involvements and goals.

Bayley Fritsch matched his biggest goals haul of the season with three majors and was recognised by the coaches with three votes of his own.

North Melbourne’s Harry Sheezel (four votes) and  Colby McKercher (two votes) rounded out the vote-getters.

Max Gawn has moved back into the top ten on the overall leaderboard, sitting in eighth position and 16 votes shy of Noah Anderson in first position.
