COMEBACK Demon Andy Moniz-Wakefield has resumed running as he powers through his knee rehabilitation program.

The 20-year-old former Category B Rookie made his breakthrough last season, playing six games before an untimely ACL injury on the eve of the 2025 season.

“Andy has had a great couple of weeks of his program," AFL High Performance Manager Selwyn Griffith said.

“He continues to work really hard on his lower body strength and power.

“As a part of this current phase he’s begun to run.”

Team-first small forward Charlie Spargo is closing in on his return, with a significant step on the horizon following the bye week.

“Charlie is tracking well,” Griffith said.

“He will look to begin contact training after returning from the mid-season break.”

Long-kicking forward turned defender Ollie Sestan will spend a longer period on the sidelines than originally anticipated after a setback in his hamstring return.

“Oliver progressed really well last week and integrated back into full training,” Griffith said.

“Unfortunately in preparing to play, he had he experienced some pain again in the hamstring.

“Subsequent scans have shown that he's aggravated original injury, and now he'll continue to work through his rehab progressions.

“A timeline will be determined in the coming days.”

Forward Shane McAdam continues to rehab his torn Achilles.
