MELBOURNE has made a defensive switch ahead of its Round 18 clash with North Melbourne, with Steven May withdrawn from the side with illness.

Veteran defender Tom McDonald comes into the side as his replacement, returning for his first game since Round 11.

McDonald acquitted himself strongly at AFL level early in the season, playing in each of the Demons' first 10 games while the back six dealt with injuries. 

Sunday marks the ultimate Kids Takeover match, with the Kids Zone opening at 11am, and gates opening at 11:30am. 

Public parking in Yarra Park is not available for our Round 18 match. 

Valid ticket holders are urged to take public transport and arrive to the game early as there will be increased traffic to and from the game.
