THREE days out from its Round 1 clash against the Bulldogs, Melbourne has named a 26-man squad.

The Dees will return to their spiritual home of the MCG on Sunday 17 March to face the Dogs, with an extended line-up confirmed on Thursday.

Melbourne’s squad for the match features the addition of seven Demons including Kysaiah Pickett, Marty Hore, Tom McDonald, Ben Brown, Tom Fullarton and Koltyn Tholstrup.  

Of the 26 players named, 23 will be confirmed in the final team to face the Dogs tomorrow at 5pm (AEDT).

Charlie Spargo will miss the match with Achilles soreness, while Jake Bowey has been ruled out for up to eight weeks following shoulder surgery.

Josh Schache and Adam Tomlinson have been omitted from the extended line-up.
