Melbourne and Hertz Australia are set for an upgrade, with the leading rental vehicle provider increasing its support to become a Co-Principal Partner of the club.

The new agreement will see Hertz’s iconic logo feature across both of the Demons’ playing kits, taking pride of place on the back of the AFL guernsey and remaining on the front of the AFLW design.

It builds on the existing partnership between the two; Hertz having previously been a Major Partner of the AFL program and the club’s AFLW Co-Principal Partner.

First joining forces in 1984, the elevation will see Hertz celebrate 40 years since its partnership with Melbourne began, signifying a remarkable journey of shared success.

“Both Melbourne and Hertz Australia share a rich history together, and with our regional headquarters based here in Melbourne, it’s something we’re extremely proud of,” Eoin MacNeill Vice President, Hertz APAC said.

“In becoming Co-Principal Partner, we have our sights firmly on the future and exploring the different ways we can bring our brands together to support the club, the sport and the wider community."

Melbourne CEO Gary Pert said he was excited to continue the meaningful partnership with Hertz.

“The team at Hertz have been part of the Melbourne family for many years, and it is fantastic to now have their support as Co-Principal Partner of our entire club,” Pert said.

“We’re incredibly proud of our history with Hertz and what we’ve been able to achieve together, and our ongoing partnership really is a testament to our shared vision and the mutual respect we have for each other.

“We look forward to the next chapter in 2024, and the continued success it will bring both organisations.”
