RUCKMAN Brodie Grundy will depart Melbourne after the club agreed to a trade with Sydney on Wednesday afternoon.

Grundy, who played 17 senior games in the red and blue this season, will become a Swan, with the Demons receiving pick No.46 in this year’s AFL Draft, alongside a future second-round selection in return.

Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb thanked the 29-year-old for his contribution to the club.

“We would like to thank Brodie for his time with us at Melbourne,” Lamb said.

“Brodie has had a significant impact on our group over the past 12 months, and we wish him well for the future.

“Securing two selections for Brodie will give us more options and create further opportunities for us this Trade Period.”

Grundy joined Melbourne in 2022 and made his club debut in the opening round of the 2023 AFL season, adding 17 games and 10 goals to his name.
