MELBOURNE leaders Kate Hore and Tyla Hanks have continued their fine form, remaining in the top five for the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.

Hanks led the charge during the team’s Friday night win over Hawthorn, the vice-captain playing an integral role in the 59-point victory.

In what was a highly contested match, the Demon weaved her way through stoppages and set-up Melbourne for a number of scoring opportunities, registering 26 disposals, ten score involvements and five clearances.

Eden Zanker was recognised for her outstanding display inside 50, the tall forward hitting a career-high three goals, while skipper Hore rounded out the count for Melbourne players, receiving three votes for her two goals, 17 disposals and seven marks.
