MELBOURNE will unleash another Irish talent on Friday night, with Aimee Mackin entering the side for her AFLW debut.

A decorated gaelic footballer, Mackin signed with Melbourne in March, opting to switch codes and join her sister Blaithin at the Dees.

Known for her speed and natural athletic ability, Mackin’s talent has impressed most recently during the club's match-sims.

Maddi Gay will make way, with the club opting to manage the experienced Demon for Round 4.

Rhi Watt, Jordan Ivey and Gab Colvin will be emergencies.

Melbourne will travel to Kinetic Stadium to play Hawthorn in the first official match between the two sides, having only faced each other during a pre-season hit-out.

The first bounce will be at 5:05pm on Friday 22 September.
