MELBOURNE Football Club has announced that Kyah Farris-White, the 19-year-old former basketballer, has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

The young player, who was drafted to the Demons in 2022 as a Category B Rookie, has been impactful in the ruck this year, playing seven matches for the Casey Demons in the VFL, as well as spending time with Dandenong Stingrays in the Coates Talent League.

“Kyah has had a fantastic first season coming to us from an elite junior basketball background,” List Manager Tim Lamb told Melbourne Media.

“He has an enormous work ethic and is continually striving to improve in all facets of his game. He has embraced every challenge that comes his way, and we look forward to his continual development with us.”

Farris-White joins Taj Woewodin and Josh Schache in recently inking new deals with the club.
