EXCITING small forward Kade Chandler has signed a new deal, committing to Melbourne for the next three seasons.

The new contract will see the 23-year-old, who joined the Demons in 2018, remain in the red and blue until at least the end of 2026.

Chandler has been an integral part of the team this season, showcasing his talent in all 13 AFL matches and contributing to the scoreboard with 15 goals to date.

His standout performance came in Round 7, where he achieved a career-high 21 disposals and kicked three goals.

Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said Chandler’s attitude to constantly strive for improvement and play his role for the team has earned him the respect of his teammates and coaches.

"We are really pleased that Kade has committed to us for a further three seasons,” Lamb told Melbourne Media

“He has worked diligently on his game over an extended period, and this season we have seen him play at a really high level in the AFL team.

"It is a credit to Kade and his terrific character, that he stuck at it and earned his opportunity, and he is now reaping the rewards.

“We have known for a little while that he was AFL ready, and it is fantastic to see him producing on the big stage.

"He is hugely respected by his teammates and coaches, and we look forward to him continuing with us for the next three seasons."

Originally from South Australia, Chandler was selected with pick No.15 in the 2018 Rookie Draft and has since played a total of 23AFL games. He was also part of the Casey Demons’ drought-breaking premiership win in 2022.
