Jayden Hunt will head west in season 2023, joining the West Coast Eagles as an Unrestricted Free Agent after 114 games in the red and blue.

Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb thanked Hunt for his commitment and contribution to the Demons.

“Jayden has been an excellent contributor to our club over a sustained period,” said Lamb.

“He played an important role for us half-back over the last couple of years and was unlucky to miss out on 2021 premiership having suffered an ankle injury in Round 21 of that year.

“We are rapt for him that he has the opportunity to continue his career at West Coast and we wish him all the best in the next chapter.”

Hunt, 27, was drafted with pick number 57 in the 2013 national draft and went onto play 114 games for the Demons.

As compensation, Melbourne will receive a third round draft pick, which currently sits at selection No.52.
