SIX GOALS equates to 10 coaches votes for Kysaiah Pickett, who was the standout player in the Demons’ Round 18 win over Port Adelaide.

The 21-year-old entertained the locals during Melbourne’s visit of Alice Springs, finding space where there was none and hitting the scoreboard in a big way.

From his 14 disposals, Pickett had the ultimate impact, converting from the tightest of angles and slotting half of his side’s goals on Sunday afternoon.

And his coach, Simon Goodwin, who gave him the maximum votes in the AFLCA MVP Award, couldn’t have been more complimentary of his game.

“He’s a special player,” Goodwin said post-game.

“It’s credit to him.

“He’s worked really hard in the last six or seven weeks to get himself back into some really good form.

“Today was on full display.

“His ability, his talent, but not only that, his work rate and performance and intensity.”

Pickett wasn’t the only performer at TIO Traeger Park, with Christian Petracca receiving eight votes for his 30-disppopsal outing.

This haul sees Petracca climb to second spot on the leaderboard, now trailing by just nine votes to his teammate, Clayton Oliver.

Power duo Connor Rozee (six votes) and Travis Boak (four votes) were judged next best, while Jack Viney and Michael Hibberd round out the polling with one vote apiece.
