COACH Dean Bailey says he will take a 90-point win every day of the week, after his side achieved that feat over Gold Coast Suns at the Gabba on Sunday.

Speaking post-match after also recording his greatest winning margin as coach, Bailey acknowledged the look of the match was not pretty at times, but he pointed to the conditions as a major factor.

“To get on the plane and come up [to Brisbane], in conditions, which were very humid for both teams and to win away was very good for us,” he said.

“Our record away is just starting to improve over the last 12 months, so it was pleasing we came up and came away with a win, because the conditions were pretty tough.

“With the humidity, both teams at times looked as if they were out on their feet at times and I reckon the conditions were a major reason for that.

“It was very good for us to come up here and win. It was still a good result and we still get four points for it.”

Meanwhile, Bailey said the substitution of Liam Jurrah for Jack Watts in the final quarter was to freshen up the Walpiri Wizard in return for giving the 2008 No.1 NAB AFL Draft pick a run.

“We just thought that Jack Watts could come on and give us a spark in the forward line,” he said.

“Liam had struggled a little bit, but [instead of] keeping him on, we were saving him.

“We had to change him with someone, Wattsy, so LJ was the obvious choice.”
