CASEY has made a big signing in the lead up to its 2020 campaign, picking up former West Coast midfielder Kurt Mutimer over the off-season.

Mutimer played four senior games across his four years with the Eagles after being recruited with pick No.57 in the 2015 National Draft.

The 22-year-old, known for his outside run and elite foot skills, will bring versatility to the Demons’ midfield and is expected to have a strong impact at VFL level after impressing during his 59 appearances in the WAFL.

Casey has also made some key re-signings from its 2019 playing list, retaining leaders Mitch White, James Munro and Jack Hutchins.

At just 23 years of age, White impressed in his first year as captain of the club, and with experience playing at AFL level, will be an important figure for the Demons again next season.

Importantly, Casey’s future looks bright with a host of young talent agreeing to terms for 2020.

Tom Freeman, Mitch Lewis, Cory Stockdale, Aidan Quigley, Ariek Lual, Jaxon Briggs, Anthony Vella, Cory Machaya, Nick Lowden, Matt Gahan and Heath Briggs have all put pen to player, as the club appears to be in a strong position heading into next year.
